Hastings College President Phil Dudley, winner of the national 2005 Ralph S. Brown Award of the AAUP, has announced his retirement.

Dudley’s commitment to shared governance has improved the faculty climate at Hastings College. The Nebraska State Conference wishes President Dudley well, and hopes that the College will find a successor who will share Dudley’s support for academic freedom and faculty rights.
