The 2012 State Meeting will take place on Saturday, October 6 on the UNL City Campus. The topic will be the challenges of maintaining academic freedom and faculty governance amid budgetary limitations. The keynote speaker will be Prof. Hans-Joerg Tiede of Illinois Wesleyan University, who serves on AAUP’s national Committee A on Academic Freedom and on the Committee on College and University Governance. Other speakers include Amy Miller, ACLU Nebraska Legal Director and members of the Nebraska State Conference of AAUP.
